Cobb Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition


 The Cobb Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition meets on the first Thursday of each month from 8:30 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. at the Cobb Works, 463 Commerce Park, Marietta, GA.

President: Jenifer Ingram

Vice President: Dana Dillard

Secretary: Tracy Alladice

The purpose of the coalition is to:

   Provide a structured opportunity for networking and collaboration among community providers,

   Provide an ongoing forum for sharing knowledge and educating community providers on issues related to teen pregnancy and teen parenting in Cobb County,

   Serve as a force to facilitate teen responsibility for their behaviors,

   Serve as a mechanism to implement programs that educate teens about the risk of early sexual involvement,

   Research, review and recommend outcome-based, proven programs targeting teen pregnancy reduction to local providers.

The coalition consists of youth workers (counselors, social workers, health educators) from schools and various community organizations. Parents, youth ministers and other interested individuals are encouraged to join. Information on a variety of topics is presented monthly.
